A complainant reported that her vehicle was entered sometime between 3:30 and 5:00 p.m. on February 17. The suspects made entry by shattering a front passenger-side window. A diaper bag that contained several credit cards was stolen. Approximately $2000.00 in unauthorized charges were made on her cards at various locations in Clifton, Nutley and New York City.

MV Crime
February 14, 2024 (Lloyd Road): The complainant reported that her Chevrolet work van was entered. The suspects used an unknown tool to shatter a passenger side window. The suspects reportedly stole approximately $1000.00 in tools.
Theft
February 15, 2024 (Hawthorne Place): The complainant reported a package delivered to her apartment was stolen from a common area. The package contained food products.
Assault
February 17, 2024 (Seymour Street): One concert goer assaulted another at The Wellmont Theater. The victim said a dispute occurred between she and another female concert attendee after the suspect accused her of stepping on her shoes. The suspect reportedly poured a drink of the victim, pulled her hair, scratched her neck, and possibly bit one of her fingers prior to pushing her to the ground. Mountainside Hospital treated the victim for her injuries.
Arrests
February 18, 2024 (Bloomfield Avenue): The manager at Bareburger reported that an intoxicated male entered the restaurant and began harassing paying customers. When asked to leave, the male caused a disturbance but ultimately left. Prior to leaving, the suspect stole a steak knife from a restaurant table. Officers located the suspect, a 33-year-old male from Montclair, and charged him with theft and disorderly conduct. Police recovered the knife.
February 18, 2024 (Glenridge Avenue): Emergency Medical Technicians from Montclair Ambulance Unit reported that they were tending to a patient on a medical call on Glenridge Avenue. The suspect approached them and began interfering with their duties. The suspect was yelling at the patient Montclair EMS was attempting to assist and demanding the patient turn over cigarettes to him. The EMT’s repeatedly asked the suspect to leave the area. The suspect allegedly put his right hand on one EMT’s left shoulder and said, “Do you want me to smack you” while simultaneously raising his right hand to show such gesture. He then fled the scene. Officers located the suspect, a 33-year-old male from Montclair, and charged him with Aggravated Assault and Terroristic Threats.
February 19, 2024 (Bloomfield Avenue): A 20-year-old female from Brentwood, NY was charged with shoplifting after leaving the CVS Pharmacy with over $200.00 in unpaid merchandise.
