Montclair Local, in partnership with Montclair Center BID and the Upper Montclair Business Association, held a candidates forum Tuesday night, moderated by NPR’s David Folkenflik, at Porta Montclair.
Folkenflik asked the candidates a wide range of questions, from traffic to transparency. With persistence and humor, he pressed all 15 candidates to be specific about the many issues facing Montclair, and how they might address them. Candidates also spoke about how they would support Montclair’s vibrant business districts. There was also an engaging speed round. Candidates had to think fast and then buzz in first to answer questions.
