On one hand, I am glad that New Jersey is dropping the mask mandate in schools so students, teachers, administrators, colleagues and others can finally see everyone’s faces — but I am also upset, because we do not know when the next variant is coming and what it will look like.
I think Gov. Phil Murphy is making a huge mistake by dropping the mask mandate and my concern is that the COVID-19 numbers will rise and go up again. It is important that our health is prioritized and it is better to feel safe than sorry.
