Sure, writing poetry is hard work, but who said it can’t be fun? Renée and Peter will get you started on a poem that explores with a light touch, the serious business of being alive. You will receive suggestions on how to revise your new draft toward becoming a thoughtful, more mature poem. This workshop will benefit writers who have been at it for years, as well as those who are new to writing poetry.

An Open Mic to follow the reading. The reading event is free and open to the public.
The Writers Circle provides creative writing workshops for children and adults that move each writer toward her or his own best work. Classes are held in Montclair, Summit, Morristown, Maplewood, and South Orange, New Jersey. The Writers Circle also hosts special events, such as this, throughout the year.
