Robbery

Friday, May 15— An individual reported that at approximately 2:20 p.m. he was approached by a male, who snatched his phone and demanded money. Friends of the victim came to his aid, causing the suspect to drop the phone and flee.

Thefts

Thursday, May 14—A Mission Street resident reported that packages containing more than $600 in merchandise were stolen from the front porch of his residence.

Friday, May 15—Police responded to Park Street on a report of three motor vehicles being rummaged through. Eight dollars in change was stolen from one vehicle, while nothing was reported missing from the other two vehicles.

Friday, May 15—A vehicle owner reported that a key fob was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on Park Street.

Friday, May 15—An Oak Place resident reported that a bicycle was stolen from the rear of his residence.

Friday, May 15—A complainant reported that two unlocked vehicles were entered on Park Street and an undetermined amount of loose change was stolen.

Friday, May 15—A vehicle owner reported that approximately $50 worth of toiletries was stolen from her vehicle on Forest Street.

Friday, May 15—A vehicle owner reported that her vehicle, which may have been left unlocked, was entered and rummaged through while the vehicle was parked on Forest Street. Nothing was reported missing.

Friday, May 15—A vehicle owner reported that approximately $11 in change and $100 in gift cards were stolen from his vehicle on Park Street.

Saturday, May 16—A complainant reported that two unlocked vehicles were entered on Midland Avenue, and $2 in coins was stolen.

Saturday, May 16—A vehicle owner reported that his unlocked vehicle was entered on Midland Avenue and that $5 in quarters and a knife/tool valued at $20 were stolen.

Saturday, May 16—A Pine Street resident reported that two bicycles were stolen from the area of his patio.

Saturday, May 16—A vehicle owner reported that his vehicle was stolen from a Grove Street lot.

Vandalism

Wednesday, May 13—A complainant reported that a garage on Orange Road had been vandalized. The vandalism consisted of “BBW,” “Jah Roos The World,” “Crack Baby,” and “Way 2 Fed” written in red spray paint.

Friday, May 15—  A complainant reported finding three stickers posted to light poles in Porter Park. The stickers read “One Nation Against Invasion,” from Patriot Front, a neo-Nazi white supremacist group. The caller stated that he removed the stickers and discarded them.

Suspicious incident

Wednesday, May 13—A complainant reported that two unlocked vehicles were rummaged through on Alexander Avenue. No property was reported missing.

Friday, May 15—A complainant reported viewing footage of a person attempting to enter his vehicle on Park Street at approximately 3 a.m. The suspect was unsuccessful in gaining entry to the vehicle, which was locked.
