schoolofrockad.jpgMontclair just got cooler. School of Rock has opened up in town and is ready to teach kids how to rock. From the moment kids ages 7 – 17 start at School of Rock, they are playing music along with professional musicians. Soon, they are playing live rock concerts.
School of Rock Montclair is owned and operated by Grammy award winning sound and production engineer Matthew Sandoski, who has been in the music business for over 15 years and worked in many of the industry’s best recording and mastering studios. Matt has mixed sound and managed production at some of the world’s largest music festivals and most famous concert venues. Working along side Matt is Musical Director, John Ginty. A New Jersey native, organist/drummer John Ginty has toured and recorded with Santana, Jewel, Matthew Sweet, Sheryl Crow, Citizen Cope, and was an original founding member of Robert Randolph and the Family Band, in which John received two Grammy award nominations in 2003. Fittingly, John also played piano and organ in the hit Jack Black movie “School of Rock”.
In addition to year long private rock lessons, School of Rock is offering a Summer Rock Boot Camp. Four themed weeks are offered and each week ends in a rock concert. Rock Boot Camp is for for students who at a minimum are able to play and notate basic chords. School of Rock is offering an early registration deal. Sign up before April 15 and get $75 off tuition–so act fast!
