A resident of Glen Ridge, Montclair business owner, avid golfer, father and grandfather, Richard “Dick” Murphy, founder of Murph’s Sport Shop in Upper Montclair, passed away on Monday at age 89.
Murphy, a World War II veteran, owned Murph’s until his retirement in 2001. The family will be at Caggianos Funeral Home, 62 Grove St.from 4-7 p.m. today; the funeral is tomorrow (9/30), 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception in Montclair. Read more about Murphy’s life here.
