Join me and many others for Montclair Township’s First Annual Holiday Read on Saturday, December 3 at 10 am.

Montclair residents will share their favorite holidays stories with you and your family. Along with Roscoe Orman, aka Gordon from Sesame Street, special guest readers include: yours truly Georgette Gilmore, Debbie Galant and her Mista Barista Warren Levinson, Alma Schneider, Cindy Villarosa, Michael Gillespie, Robin Woods, Diane Lilli, Larry Glover, Wanda Shefts, Mark Porter, Shelley Emling and many others.

I’ll be reading Chapter 19: “Mr. Edwards Meets Santa Claus” from Little House on the Prairie. It’s my favorite story to read, and watch, during Christmastime. You’ll also hear Twas The Night Before Christmas, The Gift of The Magi, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Stinky Cheese Man and many more holiday favorites.

Admission is free. However, we would like to take this opportunity to help those less fortunate than we are. Kindly bring an unwrapped toy, non-perishable food item, warm socks, mittens, and/or cat or dog treats to add to the donation boxes that will be set up in the hall.

  1. I love that story – it’s the first time that Ma Ingalls felt kindly towards Mr. Edwards.

Question: Is it a drop-in situation, or is it a full four hours? This makes a difference!

  2. Kristin,

I’m pretty certain it’s a drop-in! No child, or adult, could last that long even with great stories.
