Is your car covered with green pollen? Is it as filthy as mine? Then you’ll want to drive it over to Northeast Elementary School in Montclair on Saturday, May 12 between 9 am – 12 pm. The PTA will be holding a car wash to raise money for their school.
There will be clean cars, home baked goods, coffee and Mother’s Day cards!
Sounds perfect to me.
Northeast School Car Wash
Who: Anyone who needs their car washed and wants to help out the kids.
What: A car wash run by Northeast School.
Where: Northeast School, Grove Street, Montclair, NJ, 07043
Cost: $5 for car wash, treats various prices.
Now this is a good deal for a good cause. I’d be happy to pay $5 for a wash and buy a bag of baked goods to support this school. Good job Northeast School for making a reasonable price point and offering baked goods!
Ridgewood Ave School in Glen Ridge has a car wash basically every weekend and charges $10 and its equivalent to the old hobos cleaning your windshield in NYC with a newspaper. I would go there again and buy some cookies but they dont offer that so I just give them a couple bucks not to touch my car. And for $10 Id rather go to a real car wash establishment.
Wow, Jimmytown, feeling a little disgruntled today? Nice way to turn a compliment into ugliness.
yeah kristin, I hate to bash GR for raising money for a cause, but they are better off just walking in traffic with a bucket and ask for change. I support the cause, I really do!
So now you’re advocating the students panhandle in traffic? No Jimmytown! Say it ain’t so!
I used to wash cars in my tankini for the Jeffersonville Red Devils when I was 15. We panhandled, too, with KFC chicken buckets.
I think the NE and GR kids are doing just fine.
