Sure we’re getting some rain, but I’m not mad at Mother Nature. The oppressive heat is gone and I’ll leave my air conditioned home to get out. You should too, because there are some great things to do this weekend.

Observe the beauty and learn about the history of the spectacular stained glass Tiffany windows at Essex County Kip’s Castle Park in Verona. Free guided tours led by volunteer members of the Kip’s Castle Conservancy are being offered on the third Thursday of the month all summer long.  Joey D, the Essex County Executive, says, “Essex County Kip’s Castle Park is a unique historical treasure that gives us a glimpse of Essex County’s elegant past. We invite you to come out this summer and learn about the creation of the Tiffany Windows that are found throughout the Castle.”
