In case you didn’t know, today is National Lemonade Day.

According to LemonadeDay.org’s website,”National Lemonade Day is a FREE, fun, experiential learning program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their own business using a lemonade stand as well as fundamental lessons about life, success and themselves.” It’s a day to teach your kids how to earn their own money. Make them sit out there selling some of the thirst-quenching stuff. Then they can use the money they earned for new toys, add it to their piggy bank or, even better, donate it to a charity of their choice.

If  you want a delicious lemonade recipe, we have one right here. It’s really good and kid-approved.

As for me, I’ll be celebrating Lemonade Day with one of my favorite summer cocktails. Simply Lemonade, 1 ounce of tequila and a dash of Triple Sec. Served over ice, it’s perfect.

What’s your favorite lemonade recipe or drink?

  1. Almost every day, I drink a raw green lemonade. Into the juicer I throw:

    1 lemon, peeled
2 apples, quartered and no seeds
    1 romaine lettuce heart
3 stalks of kale (are they stalks? sprigs? I don’t know, whatever)
    1/2 cucumber

  2. Oh, and a handful of spinach – although sometimes I replace the kale with spinach if the stuff at the store is lookin’ skanky.
