  1. Can someone identify what is on the plate in the bottom photo? It looks like that “thing” that washed ashore on the east end of Long Island a few yers ago referred to as the Montauk Monster.

  2. It won’t win any beauty contests, but that’s squid — it looks a lot different than when it’s served whole and not as fried calamari — but it’s fantastic.
