IMG_2008If you dream about fashion with flair—at wholesale prices–visit Montclair’s newest clothing store: POSH D. The inviting, well-organized shop is named for Dee Lermi, co-owner and manager. “My husband says I’m a little poshy,” she laughs.

The contemporary, European-style clothing store opened a month ago on Church Street in the spot recently vacated by Tina Fine Jewelers–which moved down the block. Dee says she offers wholesale pricing because her husband (and the shop’s co-owner) Frank Lermi, designs the clothing, and it’s manufactured in Turkey.

The fashion-loving pair grew up together in Istanbul, where Frank worked for 20 years in the textile industry before they moved to New York City six years ago. Frank is also the owner of LBISSE, a clothing manufacturing company based in Verona, where the couple now lives with their son.

“Nothing in the store costs more than $100,” says Dee. Most of her dresses sell for $69 or less, blouses and tunics are priced at $49, and palazzo pants go for $39. Those prices seem incredible, considering the up-to-the-minute designs, feminine fit, and gorgeous prints and solids. The clothing comes in S, M, L, and XL sizing, and the fabrics are wash and wear cotton, jersey, and chiffon. Dee says the palazzo pants, available in several dazzling patterns, are especially desirable for summer vacations: “I call them travel pants because they’re so comfortable.”

IMG_2019The chic shop also sells unique jewelry, vegan bags, scarves, hats, and intricately-patterned pottery from Turkey.
