lewillow-1The latest addition to the Montclair fashion scene is Le Willow 83. With clothing for women, men, children, and a variety of dog leashes, the boutique specializes in high quality clothing. They even have a small coffee bar behind the register for customers to sip on espresso, cappuccinos, and lattes while they shop.

Opening this past May, owner Christina Salierno studied at FIT and followed her passion for clothing. “I felt the area needed some retail since everything nearby is a restaurant and all the clothing stores are on Church Street,” says Salierno. She even designed the urban interior of the store by laying the bricks and tile, and installing the solid pine wood floors.

Montclair's Le Willow 83: The Spot to Shop & SipEvery piece sold at Le Willow 83 was selected by Salierno and her husband John. “The clothing we sell is expensive and I don’t want my customers feeling uncomfortable in them,” says Salierno. “Every piece we carry we are happy with because John and I picked it all out and tried everything on.”

The store carries jeans, dresses, sweaters, blouses, and shorts from brands such as Joie, Hartford, Smythe, Chaser, H by Hudson, Scotch + Soda, Cuisse de Grenoville, and Tila March. “We try to carry stuff you can’t get anywhere else and we want to make sure it’s for every age group,” says Salierno.

lewillow2The store is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11-7, but if you’d like to go shopping at any other time or find yourself in a fashion emergency, you can head around the corner to restaurant Le Salbuen where the Saliernos are the owners/chefs. “Customers can always come next door to the restaurant and grab me if they want to go shopping and I’ll open it up for them,” says Salierno.

  1. I’m sure it’s the selection of dog leashes which really “makes” this new venture. And they don’t, in these days of assorted shades of grey, even have to be restricted to dogs, now do they?

And even if the above item isn’t a “sponsored post,” it sure as heck reads like one.
