FIAF Montclair

We’ll be celebrating America’s Independence Day this Friday, but shortly after that you can enjoy another national celebration. The French Institute Alliance Française (FIAF) will throw its annual Bastille Day in Montclair celebration at the beautiful Van Vleck House & Gardens on Monday, July 14 and you’re invited.

For the fourth year, FIAF Montclair will fête France’s Independence Day uniting French speakers, Francophiles and bon vivants of all stripes. The festive summer soirée features a delicious buffet of traditional French food from Chez Véro, paired with a refreshing glass of French wine.

Chanteuse Mademoiselle Fleur and her band return to perform their jazzy and soulful renditions of classic French songs from the likes of Edith Piaf and Josephine Baker. Plus, all guests are entered into a complimentary prize drawing with fabulous prizes—from free French classes to gift certificates, and more!

Highlights include:

  • A French culinary feast! Enjoy an abundant buffet of delicious French food, including salade niçoiseterrine de campagnetaboulé, and more, paired with a glass of French wine. For dessert, sample delectable crèpes and mousse au chocolat!
  • Free performances! The evening’s live musical acts recreate the ambiance of a French fête populaire. Mademoiselle Fleur and her band will serenade guests with classic French chansons, bringing to life the charm and joie de vivre of Paris!
