Cakeaholic Obsession

New Montclair bakery, Cakeaholic Obsession, is making its mark by hosting an Easter Party on Saturday, April 4, 12-2 pm. The neighborhood sweet shop, situated in Montclair’s South End Business District, is inviting kids of all ages to come decorate Easter themed cupcakes.

Cakeaholic ObsessionJulie Johnson opened the bakery located on 324 Orange Road in the South End, last February, and is up and running and ready to get the word out. Johnson,  a wife and mother of three, tells Baristanet she has had a lifelong love of baking,  makes cupcakes, cake pops and cookies along with specialty cakes on-site. Along with offering hot and cold refreshments in the café area, she also bakes what she calls a “different obsession” each day.

“My baking is driven by mood and emotion. One day I might bake pie, the next day cupcakes. I have been baking for years, and friends and family persuaded me to open my own store,” said Johnson.
