Of all the “national” days and month, National Ice Cream Month is my favorite. You can thank President Reagan for the designation. In 1984 he signed a proclamation making National ice Cream Month AND Day official. And all month long in July, I partake without guilt.

Here’s where to get your cones and sundaes locally:

One reply on “Celebrate National Ice Cream Month”

  1. To those of us who were around town as late as the early ’70s, there will never be anything like Bond’s — though no one would sneer at ice cream from Applegate’s. Bond’s was a great hang. Applegate’s was, and is, great ice cream. (Check out the Bond’s Ice Cream Facebook page. And please post photos and memories)
