The Glen Ridge Police Department is asking that you pardon their appearance this month. On behalf of the Glen Ridge Policemen’s Benevolent Association Local 58 and Chief Sheila Byron-Lagattuta, and with the support of the Mayor and Council, the GRPD is participating in No Shave November.
This cancer awareness Fundraising event will benefit the “Zeuner Foundation,” which supports terminally diagnosed cancer patients, their caretakers and families. The inspiration for The Zeuner Foundation is its founder Officer Robert Zeuner, who served 23 years in the Glen Ridge Police Department. Zeuner was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic colorectal cancer in 2004. He was 39 years old. Medical experts gave him 2 years, but he lived for 9.
