The Junior League of Montclair-Newark, Inc. (JLMN) has provided support and service to women and children in Bloomfield, The Caldwells, Cedar Grove, Essex Fells, Glen Ridge, Irvington, Montclair, Newark and Verona for more than 95 years.
The organization’s trained, enthusiastic members are committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
In order to help support its mission, the JLMN is holding a 50/50 Raffle to continue providing meaningful, hands-on projects which serve at-risk children and young adults in our area.
Tickets are $10 a piece and are available for purchase online before March 9.
Three winners will be chosen during a random drawing on March 14, 2017 at 7:30 pm during the organization’s next membership meeting, which is held at the Cedar Grove Fire Department #2 located at 170 E. Lindsley Road, Cedar Grove. Winners need not be present to win.
The first winner will receive 50% of the prize fund, the second will receive 30% and the third will receive 20%. The JLMN will use the proceeds from the sale of the 50/50 to further our mission to improve our community through the effective action of trained volunteers.
Due to the snow, our general membership meeting has been cancelled for tonight, Tuesday, March 14th. We have rescheduled our meeting for Tuesday, March 21st at 7:30 pm.
