Live Stream Music & Theater
- Stream Shakespeare’s plays thanks to The Globe Theatre
- NJPAC is sharing #NJPACinyourhome performance videos to bring a little joy to your living room.
- Metallica wins the live-streaming trend and will offer #MetallicaMondays, posting entire shows from their past onto their YouTube channel and Facebook every Monday.
- Billboard is listing “Live at Home” concerts daily
- BroadwayHD is a subscription service of Broadway shows available for streaming at home.
- Rob Thomas kicked off “social distance sessions” periodic performances on his Instagram page featuring some of his best-known songs.
- Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra found a way to social distance while still coming together to perform Beethoven 9 for The Netherlands. It’s the beauty we need right now.
Film
- Montclair Film has created the Discover Together program, an online community that will discuss and engage around a single film programmed by its team. Each Sunday, they will share a weekly schedule and encourage everyone to watch along at home and share thoughts online.
Literature
- Thursday, March 26 at 1 pm: join the Montclair Public Library for a book discussion on it Facebook page about The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot.
