DeCamp Bus Company suspended its commuter service to New York City in August 2020, due to “sustained effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.” Now, the bus company is making preparations for limited commuter service to begin in mid June.
Jonathan DeCamp will be able to release more detailed information soon, but says the limited service would be similar to what the bus company had rolled out in June 2020 after the initial shutdown due to the pandemic.
DeCamp said the #44, #33 and #66 bus lines would be part of the limited service; other lines may also be rolled out as well.
DeCamp is currently in the process of recalling staff, having buses inspected and getting everything in compliance.
“We want to see what the volume and demand is. We know the [commuting] landscape has changed,” said DeCamp. “We will take it day by day.”
And if you’ve seen a DeCamp bus drive by recently, the bus company is currently offering weekly casino service to Wind Creek Bethlehem and booking charters for group travel.
