If you are as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside, then enter the 2nd annual Bangz Salon & Wellness Spa’s The Face of Bangz competition for a chance to win $500 to your charity of choice and $500 for you to spend at Bangz Salon & Wellness Spa.
Interested women can enter at the website by uploading a photo and a 100 word statement, about why beauty on the inside is important to them and which charity/community service project they would support and why.
Entries will be accepted through February 28, 2013, and all entrants receive 15 percent off of any salon or spa treatment. A panel of judges then selects the top ten semi- finalists based on the criteria of originality, creativity and kindness, and are posted for open voting in March. Finally, the top five appear before a live panel.
The winner will receive a year of Bangz treatments, a $500 donation to the charity of her choice and appearances at Bangz Better World Foundation events.
Last year’s grand-prize winner Ella Crowe, of Montclair, earmarked her donation for the Hudson Perinatal Consortium, Doula Program, and helped organize and host a Doula Information Night event for expectant mother education at Bangz earlier this fall.
“The Face of Bangz Contest helps us to engage with the community and find out what is important to our clients and neighbors. Our goal is to find an individual with the same goals and ambition as Bangz in hope that together we can make a difference,” said Israel Cronk, Manager of Bangz Salon & Wellness Spa. “We are hoping to find someone who knows and understands that having beauty on the inside will execute on the outside as well,” adds Cronk.
Are You The Face of Bangz?
Yes. I am.
But I prefer to keep quiet, and act dignified. But, I’m sure there are folk who would love the title. For them, I wish them well and look forward to Bangz making them look even more Amazing (the prof is often in awe of the artistry of hair and make-up).
For me though, a crisp shirt, well fitted pants, great shoes, my know-it-all-ways, and devilish laugh are enough.
I think it should be open to men and women. Why not?
Yes – yes I am!
Somehow the old Jefferson Airplane/Starship song “You’re Only Pretty As you Feel…” comes to mind right now. But not in a completely complimentary fashion.
I’d rather be the Hammer of Tierney’s.
Of course cathar, generationally, I only thought of this:

I feel pretty, oh so pretty
I feel pretty both inside and out
And I’m witty
Bangs will pick me, of that fact I don’t doubt.
The 10 semi finalists are now posted; I am one 🙂 If you vote for me, I promise to lower taxes :))) Kristina!
